INTRODUCTION TO EXCLUSIVE CAMPS AND LODGES, UGANDA

Exclusive Camps and Lodges Uganda has evolved over the last eight years to offer quality accommodation with a focus on nature, local fauna, flora and cultures in the areas in which they are situated. We aim to conserve Uganda’s heritage with low impact tourism ensuring that we operate in a socially and environmentally responsible manner and encourage our guests to also act in a responsible way with insight and understanding whilst in Uganda.

We are a registered Ugandan company adhering to international environmental conventions, local rules, regulations and taxation policies
We employ local Ugandan guides and staff within all levels and areas of our operations and actively train and encourage their development
We incorporate local community interaction / visits and tourism products within our tours as much as possible
We conduct our tours in an environmentally sensitive manner. Our tours are mainly viewing and photographing wildlife - but with as little impact on the wildlife and environment as possible.
We aim to be as efficient as possible with our use of natural resources egg recycling of as many items as possible, solar lighting in the camps/lodges, fuel efficient vehicles, utilisation of rain water and gravity fed water systems where ever possible.

BUHOMA LODGE

This lodge, one of only two located inside the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, is on the edge of the forest, offering spectacular views of the forest, and is only a short walk to the starting point for gorilla tracking.

Its peaceful location means that you may truly relax after your tracking experience, and listen to the birds and primates in the forest.

Each of the cottages have their own private veranda and are self contained with shower, flushing toilet and basin. There is a cosy central lounge area for guests to unwind around the evening fire, and meals are served in a separate dining room.. Read more on Buhoma Lodge.....

ISHASHA WILDERNESS CAMP

With the backdrop of the Rwenzori Mountains to the north and the Virunga volcanoes to the south, there are few places on earth to rival the scenery in the Queen Elizabeth National Park. Our exclusive tented camp is located on the Ntungwe river within the southern Ishasha sector of the park - an idyllic retreat for people who truly enjoy the wilderness.

Large herds of elephant, buffalo, Uganda kob and topi are often seen, as well as 'tree-climbing' lions. The camp is the only camp within a 70 KM radius in Queen ELizabeth National Park, giving a feeling of complete exclusivity. Read more on Ishasha Wilderness Camp.....

PLATINUM MOBILE CAMPING

For guests that require total privacy and a fully outfitted safari camp then our Platinum Mobile Camping safari is the answer.

We cater for groups of up to sixteen guests where total comfort is guaranteed in our large airy tents with en-suite flushing toilets and warm bush showers. Each bedroom is well furnished with double or twin beds. A dining tent with lounge annex provides a central area for guests to gather for meals and to relax. A well stocked bar is naturally included.
